I use fabric collage to tell stories. I believe that activist stories from our history need to be told because their message is pertinent today, and their compelling narratives offer strength to those who follow them. Equally important to me is to represent the power of nature in my work. Whether telling the story of a civil rights leader or a pair of boat-tailed grackles enjoying a moment together, my quilts tell stories worth sharing. My work is featured in books, museums, galleries, private collections, and juried shows, some of which have traveled nationally and internationally.
