I consider myself an intuitive, expressive artist. I tend to work in layers, so there are many surfaces below my final painting. I love to experiment with various tools without knowing where I am going until I arrive. My goal is to stay open to my intuition and the surprises in my work as I become lost in play. So, there is a beginning, a middle, and an end that feels like the flow of life. I am inspired by nature, the flow of color, texture, line, and shape. I work on my painting until it feels finished. Sometimes that comes quickly, but most time, it takes days, weeks, or months.
