I agree. I understand it's fashionable now to broadly slam the US automotive industry, but I wonder exactly how many of those slamming Ford have ever owned one and failed so miserably that they have a right to pass judgment on Ford cars as being "*****."I personally own a Ford and it's a great car. Bought it new in '07. Growing up, my parents had Ford escorts (both of them). I drove those as a teenager and beat the hell out of them, as well as my parents. Those cars never failed, started up in the cold Chicago winter without fail and made it through some pretty nasty seasons. Ford has never shown me anything to deem them "*****." (granted the Ford Explorer fiasco was pretty horrific).I also own a Honda sportbike and that thing is ROCK SOLID (and my in-laws all own Japanese car models). So I am not bagging on Japanese made vehicles, but I don't think it's fair to completely damn Ford, or other car makers for that matter, just because. And yes, there are issues with every mfg., but unless you can personally attest to the crappiness of a Ford, you shouldn't really being proclaiming as fact that they are.
I have to wonder what he was thinking? I mean, if he were doing something so sketch and potentially illegal, wouldn't he go to some effort to protect his anonymity?
